Physics Lecturer
Temporary
Are you a physics specialist looking to inspire the next generation of scientists?
About the Role
As a Physics Lecturer with a training provider, you'll plan and deliver engaging physics sessions, helping learners build the subject knowledge, practical skills and confidence they need to progress.
You'll teach both theory and practical sessions, adapting your approach to suit a range of abilities and learning styles. Alongside delivery, you'll assess learners' work, give constructive feedback and track progress towards qualifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated physics lessons.
- Preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessment activities.
- Delivering practical sessions safely and to the required standards.
- Assessing, reviewing and tracking learner progress and achievement.
- Preparing learners for assessment in line with awarding body requirements.
- Supporting learners to achieve their full potential in physics.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in physics or a closely related subject
- Strong subject knowledge across physics theory and practical work
- Confident communication skills and the ability to engage learners of varying abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
