Officer
Temporary
Location: the South East
Start date: September 2026
About the Role
As a Officer, you'll help keep the day-to-day environment at a further education provider safe, welcoming and well run, supporting staff, learners and visitors across the working day.
You'll be a visible, approachable presence, dealing with issues as they arise and working closely with colleagues across the organisation to make sure the site runs smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for learners, staff and visitors.
- Providing a visible presence across the site and responding to issues as they arise.
- Supporting learner behaviour, conduct and wellbeing in communal areas.
- Working with colleagues across teams to support the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience of working with young people or in a customer-facing, site-based role
- A calm, approachable manner and the confidence to deal with issues as they happen
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to learner safety and wellbeing
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience in a further education or school setting
