Temporary | Contract

Are you an experienced music professional looking to pass your skills on to the next generation?
About the role
An education provider is looking for a Music Lecturer to deliver practical and theory sessions to learners working towards industry-recognised qualifications. You'll plan and deliver engaging studio and classroom sessions, assess learner progress and help students build the technical skills, creative confidence and professional standards they need to step into the music industry.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering practical and theory music sessions.
- Teaching learners at a range of levels, from beginner through to industry readiness.
- Assessing learner work and tracking progress towards qualifications.
- Supporting curriculum delivery and development.
- Creating a positive, well-structured learning environment that motivates learners to achieve.
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Music or a related subject
- Substantial hands-on industry or performance experience
- Strong practical and technical subject knowledge
- Enthusiasm for supporting and motivating learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- An assessor qualification
- Previous experience teaching, assessing or instructing learners
