Multi-Skills Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the East of England
Salary: £50 per hour
Start date: 1 October 2026
Are you an experienced construction professional ready to pass your trade skills on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join the construction team at a further education provider, delivering teaching, learning and assessment across multi-skills programmes. You'll work with learners in both practical workshop and classroom settings, helping them build the hands-on and theoretical skills they need to progress into employment or further training.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering practical and theory sessions across multi-skills programmes.
- Planning lessons and preparing resources that meet a range of learner needs.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Providing academic and pastoral support to help learners achieve their goals.
- Contributing to curriculum planning and course development.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 vocational qualification in a relevant construction trade
- Hands-on industry experience across more than one trade
- Level 2 English and maths, or equivalent
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate learners from a range of backgrounds
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE, Cert Ed or DET
- Experience of teaching or assessing in a further education or training environment
