Multi-Skills & Carpentry Lecturer

Temporary | Contract

Location: the South East

Salary: £50 per hour

Start date: 12 October 2026

Are you an experienced carpenter or multi-skills tradesperson looking to pass your craft on to the next generation?

About the Role

Working with a further education provider in the South East, you'll deliver teaching, learning and assessment across multi-skills and carpentry programmes, in both the practical workshop and the classroom.

You'll help learners build the hands-on skills, underpinning knowledge and confidence they need to achieve their qualifications and progress into employment or further training.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality practical and theoretical sessions across multi-skills and carpentry programmes.
  • Planning and preparing engaging lessons and workshop activities.
  • Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Supporting learners from a range of backgrounds to achieve their goals.
  • Contributing to curriculum planning and course development.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Level 3 vocational qualification in carpentry or a related construction trade
  • Hands-on industry experience within carpentry or a multi-skills environment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable (but not essential):

  • A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
  • Experience of teaching or supporting learners, apprentices or trainees

If you're ready to put your trade experience to work in the classroom and workshop, we'd love to hear from you.
