Permanent
Location: Yorkshire
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 per annum
Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in Yorkshire and the Humber, delivering motor vehicle teaching to learners working towards industry-recognised qualifications. This is a permanent post starting in July 2026, offering the chance to bring your technical background into the classroom and workshop.
You'll plan and deliver engaging, practical sessions that reflect current industry standards, supporting learners to build the hands-on skills and knowledge employers expect.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering theoretical and practical motor vehicle lessons to further education learners.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive, timely feedback.
- Preparing learners for assessments and industry-recognised qualifications.
- Maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop environment in line with health and safety requirements.
- Keeping up to date with developments in motor vehicle technology and practice.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle (or equivalent)
- Significant experience working in the motor vehicle industry
- Relevant industry qualifications in motor vehicle maintenance or repair
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience teaching or training in a further education setting
If you don't yet hold a teaching qualification, don't let that put you off — full training and ongoing support are available to help you develop your teaching skills.
If you're ready to bring your motor vehicle expertise into the classroom and help shape the next generation of technicians, we'd love to hear from you.
What's on Offer
- Full training and ongoing support for teaching qualification
- Professional development opportunities
