Job Description
Motor Vehicle Lecturer
Temporary
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Start date: 8 October 2026
Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?
About the Role
A further education provider in Yorkshire and the Humber is looking for a Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join its team. You'll deliver engaging theory and practical workshop sessions, helping learners build the technical knowledge and hands-on skills they need to progress into employment or an apprenticeship.
You'll work with learners of differing abilities and confidence levels, so your ability to explain, demonstrate and motivate will matter as much as your technical background.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering classroom and workshop-based teaching on motor vehicle programmes.
- Planning lessons and preparing industry-relevant learning materials.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintaining accurate learner records.
- Promoting a safe, professional and positive workshop environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle (or equivalent)
- Industry experience in the motor vehicle sector
- Good communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience teaching or assessing in further education
Teaching experience is not essential. If you're coming straight from industry, the provider will support you to gain a recognised teaching qualification while you work.
Drive the Next Generation Forward
If you're ready to pass on your trade knowledge to learners starting out in the industry, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today.
What's on Offer
- Support to gain recognised teaching qualification while working
