Motor Vehicle Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the North West
Start date: October 2026
Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?
About the Role
As a Motor Vehicle Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging practical and theory-based teaching that helps learners build the technical skills and underpinning knowledge they need to progress into the automotive industry.
Working with a further education provider in the North West, you'll plan and prepare lessons that combine hands-on workshop practice with classroom theory, assess learner progress and adapt your approach to suit learners at different levels and stages of their training.
If you come from industry rather than a teaching background, that's welcome here. You'll be supported to develop your classroom practice through mentoring and ongoing professional development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering practical and theory-based lessons in motor vehicle.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Adapting your teaching to meet the needs of learners at different levels.
- Maintaining a safe, professional and industry-standard workshop environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle, or equivalent
- Industry experience within the motor vehicle sector
- Good communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
