Motor Vehicle Lecturer
Temporary
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Start date: October 2026
Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in Yorkshire and the Humber, delivering motor vehicle teaching to learners working towards industry-recognised qualifications.
You'll plan and deliver engaging theory and practical sessions that reflect current industry standards, helping learners build the hands-on skills and technical knowledge employers expect.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering theoretical and practical motor vehicle lessons to further education learners.
- Planning lessons, schemes of work and assessment materials.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive, timely feedback.
- Preparing learners for assessments and industry-recognised qualifications.
- Maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop environment in line with health and safety requirements.
- Keeping up to date with developments in motor vehicle technology and practice.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle (or equivalent)
- Industry experience within the motor vehicle sector
- Good communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience teaching or assessing in further education
