Motor Vehicle Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start date: October 2026
Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West, delivering theory and practical teaching on motor vehicle programmes. You'll work with learners in the classroom and the workshop, helping them build the technical knowledge and hands-on skills the industry expects.
If you're coming straight off the tools, that's welcomed. Teaching experience isn't essential, and you'll be supported to gain a recognised teaching qualification while you work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging classroom and workshop-based sessions on motor vehicle programmes.
- Planning lessons, assessing learner progress and giving constructive feedback.
- Motivating learners to achieve their potential and progress into employment or apprenticeships.
- Maintaining a safe, professional working environment in line with industry standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle (or equivalent)
- Industry experience in the motor vehicle sector
- Good communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching or mentoring
If you're ready to pass on your trade experience to the technicians of the future, we'd love to hear from you.
What's on Offer
- Support to gain recognised teaching qualification while working
