Start date: 2 October 2026
Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?
About the role
You'll join a further education provider to deliver high-quality teaching across motor vehicle programmes, combining practical workshop sessions with classroom-based theory. You'll help learners build the technical knowledge and hands-on skills they need to progress into employment or an apprenticeship.
You'll work as part of a supportive team, planning your lessons, assessing learner work to awarding body standards and keeping learners motivated and on track.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging theory and practical motor vehicle lessons.
- Planning lessons and developing industry-relevant learning materials.
- Assessing learner work and providing developmental feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and supporting individual needs.
- Maintaining accurate records and a safe, professional workshop environment.

- Industry experience within the motor vehicle sector
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Enthusiasm for developing and inspiring future technicians
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience teaching in further education
Teaching experience is not essential. If you're new to education, you'll be supported with training, mentoring and ongoing development.
Drive the next generation forward
If you're ready to pass on your industry expertise and shape the technicians of the future, we'd love to hear from you.
What's on Offer
- Training and mentoring support
- Ongoing professional development
