Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?
About the Role
An education provider is looking to appoint a Motor Vehicle Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across its motor vehicle programmes, with a start date of October 2026.
You'll deliver both theory and practical workshop sessions, helping learners build the technical knowledge and hands-on skills they need to progress into employment or an apprenticeship. You'll plan your lessons, assess progress and keep learners motivated throughout their programme.
If you're new to teaching, that's not a barrier. Industry professionals are supported to gain a recognised teaching qualification while they work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging classroom and workshop-based sessions.
- Teaching learners across motor vehicle service and repair programmes.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintaining accurate learner records and contributing to high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Promoting a safe, professional and well-organised workshop environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle (or equivalent)
- Recent industry experience in the motor vehicle sector
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Enthusiasm for developing and inspiring future technicians
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching or assessor qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous teaching or training experience
Drive the next generation forward
If you're ready to pass on your industry expertise to learners starting out in the trade, we'd love to hear from you.
