About the Role

A further education provider in the South West is looking for a Motor Vehicle Lecturer to deliver engaging theory and practical teaching to learners working towards careers in the automotive industry.

You'll bring your industry knowledge into the classroom and the workshop, helping learners build the technical skills and confidence they need to progress into employment or an apprenticeship.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering classroom and workshop-based teaching across Motor Vehicle programmes.
• Planning lessons and developing industry-relevant learning materials.
• Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Maintaining accurate learner records and supporting high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Promoting a safe, professional and positive learning environment in line with industry practice.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A relevant Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle (or equivalent)
• Industry experience within the motor vehicle sector
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Enthusiasm for developing and motivating learners

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education

Teaching experience isn't essential. If you're coming straight from industry, you'll be supported with teacher training, mentoring and ongoing development.
