Motor Vehicle Lecturer (Temporary)

Motor Vehicle Lecturer

Temporary

Location: the East of England

Start date: 23 September 2026

Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?

About the role

You'll design, plan, deliver and assess engaging motor vehicle programmes for a further education provider, combining practical workshop teaching with the underpinning theory learners need to succeed.

Working across a range of levels, you'll bring your industry experience into the workshop and classroom, helping learners build the knowledge and skills that employers value. You'll create a positive and supportive learning environment, monitor learner progress and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners.

If you come from industry rather than teaching, that's welcome. Our client offers support to help you move into education and develop as a lecturer.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, planning, delivering and assessing motor vehicle programmes across a range of levels.
• Delivering a mix of practical workshop sessions and underpinning theory.
• Monitoring learner progress and providing timely feedback.
• Creating a safe, positive and supportive learning environment.
• Working with colleagues to keep the curriculum current and relevant to the sector.

• A relevant Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle (or equivalent)
• Good communication and organisational skills

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching or assessing qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Previous experience of teaching or training others

Drive the next generation forward

If you're ready to pass on your industry expertise and help learners build a career in the automotive sector, we'd love to hear from you.
