Temporary | Contract

Location: the East of England

Start date: September 2026

Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?

About the Role

You'll join the automotive team at an education provider, delivering theory and practical teaching to learners working towards motor vehicle qualifications. Whether you're already teaching or currently working in industry, we'd like to hear from you.

You'll help learners build the technical knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours they need to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study within the automotive sector.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across a range of motor vehicle subjects.
• Supporting practical workshop activities alongside classroom delivery.
• Assessing learners' work in line with awarding body requirements and providing constructive feedback.
• Monitoring learner progress and putting timely support in place where it's needed.
• Maintaining safe, industry-standard workshop practices.
• Working with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A relevant Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle (or equivalent)
• Industry experience within the motor vehicle sector
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Enthusiasm for developing and inspiring future technicians

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Previous experience of teaching or assessing in a further education setting

Teaching experience isn't essential. If you're new to education, you'll be supported with teacher training, mentoring and ongoing development.

Drive the Next Generation Forward

If you're ready to pass your industry expertise on to learners starting out in the trade, we'd love to hear from you.
