Motor Vehicle Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: London

Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?
About the Role
As a Motor Vehicle Lecturer with a further education provider, you'll deliver engaging theory and practical workshop sessions across motor vehicle service and repair programmes, helping learners build the technical knowledge and hands-on skills they need to progress into employment or an apprenticeship.
You'll bring your industry experience into the workshop and classroom, tracking learner progress, giving clear and constructive feedback, and maintaining safe, professional working practices throughout.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering classroom and workshop-based lessons on motor vehicle programmes.
- Preparing schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment materials.
- Assessing learner work and giving feedback that helps students improve.
- Monitoring learner progress and keeping accurate records.
- Promoting a safe, positive and professional learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle (or equivalent)
- Recent occupational experience in the motor vehicle sector
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Enthusiasm for developing and inspiring future technicians
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching or assessing qualification
- Previous experience teaching in further education
Teaching experience isn't essential. If you're moving across from industry, you'll be supported with teacher training, mentoring and ongoing development.
