Motor Vehicle Lecturer (Temporary)

Motor Vehicle Lecturer

Temporary

Location: London

Start date: 21 September 2026

Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?

About the Role

You'll join a further education provider in London, delivering motor vehicle programmes to learners working towards careers in the automotive industry.

You'll plan and deliver both workshop-based and theory sessions, drawing on your own industry knowledge to help learners build the technical skills, confidence and understanding they need to progress into employment or an apprenticeship.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering motor vehicle lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Delivering practical workshop teaching alongside classroom-based theory.
• Assessing learner progress and providing constructive, timely feedback.
• Creating a safe, inclusive learning environment where learners are stretched and challenged.
• Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and progress towards employment or further study.
• Keeping your industry knowledge current and reflecting sector practice in your teaching.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle or a related subject
• Recent industry experience within the motor vehicle sector
• Ability to engage and motivate learners
• Good communication and organisational skills

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education

Teaching experience isn't essential. If you're coming straight from industry, you'll be supported to gain a recognised teaching qualification while you work.

Drive the Next Generation Forward

If you're ready to share your automotive expertise with learners starting out in the trade, we'd love to hear from you.
