Mechanical Engineer Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Are you an experienced mechanical engineering professional looking to inspire the next generation of engineers?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider, delivering mechanical engineering training to learners working towards their qualifications. Across theory sessions and practical workshop activity, you'll bring your industry experience into the teaching environment and help learners build the technical skills employers are looking for.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging mechanical engineering theory and practical sessions.
- Adapting your teaching to meet the individual needs of learners.
- Assessing learner work and tracking progress towards qualification completion.
- Producing learning resources to support the programme.
- Keeping accurate records and completing associated administrative tasks.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in mechanical engineering or a related discipline
- Industry experience you can draw on in the workshop and classroom
- The ability to motivate and support learners of differing abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching or assessing qualification
