Maths & English Lecturers

About the Role
An education provider is looking to appoint Maths & English Lecturers to deliver high-quality teaching across its maths and English provision. You'll plan and deliver engaging lessons, create learning resources and assess learner progress, supporting students of mixed abilities to build the confidence and skills they need for work, further study and everyday life.
You'll work alongside colleagues in the wider curriculum team, tracking progress and adapting your teaching to close gaps in knowledge.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, accessible maths or English lessons to learners of mixed abilities.
- Preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessments.
- Assessing learner progress, marking work and providing timely, constructive feedback.
- Supporting learners with gaps in knowledge, building their confidence and motivation.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
- Maintaining high standards of classroom management and a positive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience teaching maths or English
- Ability to differentiate and adapt teaching to varied learning needs
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or DET
- Experience of working in further education or adult learning
