Are you an experienced machinist looking to pass your technical expertise on to the next generation of engineers?
About the Role
As a Machining Lecturer, you'll teach and assess learners on machining and engineering programmes at a further education provider, helping them build the practical skills, technical knowledge and confidence they need to progress into industry.
You'll deliver practical workshop sessions alongside classroom-based theory, covering machining operations such as CNC, lathe, milling and turning, and you'll track learner progress throughout their programme.

- Delivering practical workshop sessions alongside classroom-based theory.
- Covering machining operations including CNC, lathe, milling and turning.
- Supporting curriculum delivery, assessment and learning resources.
- Monitoring, recording and tracking learner progress.

Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering, manufacturing or machining, or equivalent
- Strong practical and technical knowledge of machining operations
- Enthusiasm for supporting and motivating learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- An assessor qualification
- Previous experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
If you're ready to pass your machining expertise on to the engineers of the future, we'd love to hear from you.
