Temporary | Contract

Start date: 16 November 2026
Are you passionate about supporting learners with additional needs to achieve and grow in confidence?
About the Role
You'll join the learning support team at an education provider, working alongside teaching staff to help learners with special educational needs and disabilities access the curriculum and make progress.
You'll provide in-class and one-to-one support, adapting your approach to each learner's needs and helping them build independence, confidence and skills for the future.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting learners with SEND in class and on a one-to-one basis.
- Adapting resources and support to meet individual learner needs.
- Encouraging independence, confidence and positive engagement in learning.
- Working closely with teaching and learning support colleagues to keep support joined up.
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience of supporting learners with special educational needs and disabilities
- A patient, encouraging approach and strong communication skills
- An enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain one
Desirable (but not essential):
- A relevant learning support or teaching assistant qualification
- Experience of working within a further education setting
