LSA/SEN
Temporary | Contract
Location: London
Start date: November 2026
About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant with a further education provider, you'll work alongside teaching staff to support learners with special educational needs and disabilities, helping them access their studies and make progress.
You'll provide in-class and individual support, adapting resources and approaches so that each learner can take part fully, and you'll help students build the confidence and independence they need for work and everyday life.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing in-class and one-to-one support to learners with SEND and additional learning needs.
- Adapting resources and support strategies to remove barriers to learning.
- Working closely with teaching staff to deliver the support set out in individual learning plans.
- Encouraging learners to develop independence, life skills and employability skills.
- Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience of supporting learners with special educational needs and disabilities
- A patient, encouraging approach and the ability to build positive working relationships with learners
- An enhanced DBS
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience of supporting learners in a further education setting
- A relevant learning support qualification
