Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Are you an experienced teaching professional with a passion for supporting learners with additional needs?
About the Role
A further education provider is looking for a Lecturer to join their teaching team, with an anticipated start date of November 2026.
You'll plan and deliver inclusive lessons for learners with SEND, adapting your teaching to meet individual needs and helping students build the confidence, independence and employability skills they need to progress.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons for learners with SEND.
- Adapting teaching and learning approaches to meet individual learner needs.
- Monitoring and assessing learner progress, providing appropriate support and feedback.
- Contributing to personalised learning plans and positive learner outcomes.
- Working closely with learning support and wider teaching teams.
- Creating an inclusive, safe and supportive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience teaching learners with SEND, learning difficulties or additional needs
- A relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DET or equivalent
- A strong understanding of inclusive teaching and differentiated learning
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience within further education, specialist education or a similar post-16 setting
