About the role

You'll plan, deliver and assess engaging PIT programmes for a further education provider, combining practical sessions with the underpinning theory learners need to succeed.

Working across a range of levels, you'll bring your experience into the classroom and workshop, helping learners build the knowledge, skills and confidence that employers value. You'll create a safe and supportive learning environment, monitor learner progress and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners.

If you come from industry rather than teaching, that's welcome. Our client offers support to help you move into education and develop as a lecturer.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning, delivering and assessing PIT programmes across a range of levels.
• Preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessments.
• Monitoring learner progress and providing timely, constructive feedback.
• Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Working collaboratively with the wider curriculum team.

What we're looking for

Essential:

• Subject expertise in PIT
• Experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners, or relevant industry experience

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Experience of working in a further education setting
