Job Description
Apprenticeships - Brick Lecturer
Temporary
Are you an experienced bricklayer looking to pass your trade on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join an education provider as a Brick Lecturer, delivering practical and theoretical sessions to apprentices working towards their qualifications. You'll teach in both workshop and classroom settings, helping learners build the technical skills, underpinning knowledge and confidence they need to succeed in industry.
You'll assess progress, give clear feedback and create a safe, inclusive environment where learners can do their best work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality practical bricklaying training.
- Teaching the theoretical knowledge that underpins brickwork practice.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities that support progression and achievement.
- Supporting apprentices to achieve their qualifications.
- Maintaining a safe, organised workshop that reflects industry standards.
- Working with colleagues and employers to support strong learner outcomes.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in bricklaying
- Substantial hands-on industry experience in bricklaying
- Good communication and workshop management skills
- A genuine interest in developing apprentices
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching or assessing qualification
- Previous experience of teaching or training in a further education or apprenticeship setting
Teaching experience isn't essential — if you have the trade behind you, support and development will be available to help you build your teaching practice.
Build the Next Generation of Tradespeople
If you're ready to pass on your trade and help apprentices succeed, we'd love to hear from you.
