Lecturer in Land Based Engineering
Temporary | Contract
Location: the East of England
Start date: 15 September 2026
Are you an experienced land based engineering professional looking to pass your skills on to the next generation of technicians?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the East of England, delivering teaching and learning in land based engineering to learners working towards their technical qualifications.
You'll plan and deliver sessions across classroom and workshop settings, assess learner work and support students to progress and complete successfully.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering scheduled teaching and tutorials in land based engineering.
- Assessing and marking student work in line with awarding body requirements.
- Monitoring learner progress and supporting students to achieve their potential.
- Maintaining accurate records of student attendance and achievement.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in land based engineering or a related discipline
- Good standard of education including maths and English to Level 2 (GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent)
- Strong practical and technical knowledge of the sector
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of teaching or assessing in further education
