Lecturer in Games Development
Temporary | Full Time
Location: the North West
Start date: 11 September 2026
Are you a games development or media professional ready to pass your skills on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West, delivering games development and media to learners at Level 3 and on higher education programmes.
You'll plan and deliver engaging sessions that keep pace with industry practice, and support learners to build the technical and creative skills they need to progress into the sector or on to further study.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering teaching across games development and media at Level 3 and HE.
- Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessments.
- Assessing learners' work and providing timely, constructive feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and supporting those with gaps in knowledge.
- Working with curriculum colleagues to support achievement and retention.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Subject knowledge in games development or media
- Experience of delivering at Level 3 and at HE level
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
