Law Lecturer
Temporary
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Start date: 7 September 2026
Are you an experienced legal professional looking to pass your knowledge on to the next generation?
About the Role
As a Law Lecturer with a further education provider, you'll deliver law sessions to learners working towards their qualifications, bringing your subject knowledge into the classroom and helping learners build the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to progress.
You'll plan and prepare lessons, assess progress and support learners throughout their programme, working as part of an established team.
If you come from the legal profession rather than teaching, that's welcome. Where relevant, the provider offers support to help you develop your teaching practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering law sessions to learners at a range of levels.
- Planning, preparing and delivering lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Assessing and monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Adapting teaching and learning materials to meet individual learner needs.
- Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and progress onto their next steps.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant qualification in law
- Strong subject knowledge and experience within the legal sector
- The ability to engage and motivate learners at a range of levels
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
