Interim Curriculum Manager - Creative
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Start date: 31 August 2026
Are you an experienced creative curriculum leader looking for your next interim leadership opportunity in further education?
About the Role
As Interim Curriculum Manager - Creative, you'll lead the creative curriculum area for a further education provider, taking responsibility for the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and for the outcomes learners achieve.
You'll support and develop the teaching team, oversee curriculum planning and delivery, and work closely with senior leaders to maintain strong standards across the provision.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing the creative curriculum area.
- Supporting and developing teaching staff to deliver high-quality learning.
- Monitoring teaching, learning and learner outcomes.
- Overseeing curriculum planning, quality and performance.
- Driving improvements in retention, achievement and learner experience.
- Working closely with senior leadership and curriculum teams.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience as a Curriculum Manager, Curriculum Lead, Programme Manager or similar
- A strong background in creative subjects within further education
- Experience of leading and developing teaching teams
- A sound understanding of curriculum quality assurance and improvement
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of liaising with awarding bodies and external stakeholders
