Interim Curriculum Manager - Engineering & Motor Vehicle
Temporary
Location: the North West
Start Date: 24 August 2026
Are you an experienced curriculum leader — or a senior lecturer ready to step up — with a background in engineering or motor vehicle?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West on an interim basis, leading the engineering and motor vehicle curriculum area and the team of lecturers who deliver it.
You'll take responsibility for the quality of teaching, learning and assessment across the area, keeping provision running smoothly and standards high during your time in post.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting a team of lecturers to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
- Managing the day-to-day running of the engineering and motor vehicle curriculum area.
- Monitoring learner progress, achievement and retention, and acting where performance needs to improve.
- Working with the wider leadership team to ensure the curriculum remains industry relevant.
- Supporting course teams with planning, timetabling and the effective use of resources.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Degree and/or substantial occupational experience in engineering or motor vehicle
- Teaching qualification
- Experience of curriculum management in further education, or of operating at senior lecturer level
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Assessor or mentoring qualifications
