Horticulture, Land and Plant Sciences Lecturer
Temporary
Start date: September 2026
Are you an experienced horticulture or land-based professional looking to pass your expertise on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join an education provider as a Horticulture, Land and Plant Sciences Lecturer, bringing your industry knowledge into the classroom and the practical setting and sharing it with learners at every stage of their journey.
You'll deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment, supporting students to achieve their best regardless of the challenges they face. Acting as a positive role model, you'll contribute to the provider's offer in this key curriculum area.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering horticulture, land and plant sciences sessions to learners, including adult learners.
- Assessing, reviewing and tracking learner progress.
- Maintaining accurate course and student records.
- Supporting students to achieve and progress.
- Acting as a positive role model to students.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant qualification in horticulture, land or plant sciences, with industry experience
- Strong practical and technical knowledge of the subject area
- The ability to work effectively within a team
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
