Heating and Ventilation Assessor
Temporary | Contract
Location: the Wales
Are you an experienced heating and ventilation professional looking to support the next generation of skilled tradespeople?
About the Role
A further education provider is seeking a Heating and Ventilation Assessor to guide apprentices through their training journey, helping them build the technical skills, knowledge and behaviours expected within industry.
You'll work closely with apprentices, employers and curriculum teams, assessing competence against industry standards and supporting learners towards achievement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing apprentices against apprenticeship standards and qualification requirements.
- Carrying out workplace observations, assessments and progress reviews.
- Supporting learners with evidence gathering and portfolio development.
- Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve performance.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with employers.
- Maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge through continuing professional development.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in heating and ventilation or a related discipline
- Industry experience within heating and ventilation
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A genuine commitment to supporting and developing learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- Assessor qualification
- Teaching qualification
- Previous experience of assessing or mentoring apprentices
