Health & Social Care Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the West Midlands
Start date: 30 September 2026
Are you an experienced health and social care professional looking to pass your knowledge on to the next generation of care workers?
About the Role
As a Health & Social Care Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging, well-structured teaching across health and social care programmes, helping learners build the knowledge, practical skills and confidence they need to progress into further study or employment.
You'll join a supportive team at a further education provider in the West Midlands, where you'll plan lessons, assess learners' work and create an inclusive environment in which students feel motivated to achieve.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering health and social care lessons across a range of levels.
- Assessing, marking and giving constructive feedback on learners' work.
- Monitoring learner progress and providing support where it's needed.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance and achievement.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in health and social care, or significant professional experience in the sector
- Up-to-date knowledge of health and social care practice
- The ability to engage and motivate learners of differing abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification
- Previous experience of teaching, training or assessing in a further education setting
