Health Lecturer

Temporary

Location: the West Midlands

Start date: 2 October 2026

Are you an experienced health professional looking to pass your knowledge on to the next generation of care and healthcare workers?

About the Role

As a Health Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging, well-structured teaching across health programmes, helping learners build the knowledge, practical skills and confidence they need to progress into further study or employment.

You'll join a supportive team at a further education provider in the West Midlands, where you'll plan lessons, assess learners' work and create an inclusive environment in which students feel motivated to achieve.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering health lessons across a range of levels.
  • Assessing, marking and giving constructive feedback on learners' work.
  • Monitoring learner progress and providing support where it's needed.
  • Maintaining accurate records of attendance and achievement.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a health-related subject, or significant professional experience in the sector
  • The ability to teach and engage learners of differing abilities

Desirable (but not essential):

  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Previous experience of teaching, training or assessing in further education
