Health and Social Care Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the provider
Are you an experienced health or social care professional ready to inspire the next generation of practitioners?
About the Role
You'll join the team at an education provider, delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across Health and Social Care qualifications and helping learners build the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for careers in the sector.
You'll plan and deliver theory and practical sessions, monitor learner progress and give constructive feedback as part of a supportive vocational team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging sessions across Health and Social Care qualifications.
- Delivering sessions in line with awarding body requirements.
- Monitoring and assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Tracking achievement across full study programmes.
- Supporting learners to prepare for their next steps into employment or further study.
- Working closely with curriculum and learning support colleagues.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Relevant qualification in Health and Social Care or a related discipline
- Recent, practical experience within the health or social care sector
- Ability to engage and motivate learners of differing abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Previous experience of teaching, training or assessing in a further education setting
