Health and Social Care Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start date: 15 October 2026
Are you an experienced health or social care professional looking to pass your knowledge on to the next generation of practitioners?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West, delivering health and social care training to learners working towards their qualifications. You'll bring your sector experience into the classroom and help learners build the knowledge, skills and confidence employers are looking for.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging health and social care sessions.
- Adapting your teaching to meet the individual needs of learners.
- Assessing learner work and tracking progress towards qualification completion.
- Producing learning resources to support the programme.
- Keeping accurate records and completing associated administrative tasks.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in health and social care or a related discipline
- Experience in the health or social care sector you can draw on in your teaching
- The ability to motivate and support learners to achieve
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching or assessing qualification
- Previous experience teaching or training in a further education setting
