Health and Social Care Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North East
Start date: 2 October 2026
Are you an experienced health or social care professional ready to pass your knowledge on to the next generation of practitioners?
About the Role
An education provider in the North East is looking for a Health and Social Care Lecturer to join its teaching team. You'll deliver engaging, well-planned sessions to learners working towards qualifications in health and social care, bringing your sector experience into the classroom.
You'll support learners to progress, track their achievement and help them build the practical skills and confidence they need for careers in the sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering lessons across health and social care programmes.
- Assessing learners' work and giving clear, constructive feedback on their progress.
- Creating an inclusive learning environment where all learners are supported and challenged.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, achievement and progress.
- Supporting learners to overcome individual barriers to learning.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Occupational experience in health or social care
- A relevant qualification in health and social care
- The ability to engage and motivate learners of mixed abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Previous experience of teaching, training or assessing
