Health and Social Care Lecturer
Temporary

Are you an experienced health and social care professional ready to pass your knowledge on to the next generation?
About the Role
As a Health and Social Care Lecturer with a further education provider, you'll plan and deliver engaging lessons that prepare learners for careers across the health and social care sector. You'll bring your industry experience into the classroom, making the theory real and relevant for the students in front of you.
You'll support learners from a wide range of backgrounds, tracking their progress, giving clear and constructive feedback, and helping them overcome individual barriers to achievement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering lessons across health and social care qualifications.
- Preparing schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment materials.
- Assessing learner work and giving feedback that helps students improve.
- Monitoring learner progress and keeping accurate records.
- Creating a safe, inclusive classroom where learners are supported and challenged.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Relevant occupational experience in health or social care
- A relevant qualification in health and social care
- The ability to engage and motivate learners of differing abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Previous experience of teaching, training or assessing in a further education setting
