Health and Social Care Lecturer
Temporary
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Start date: September 2026
Are you an experienced health and social care professional looking to pass your expertise on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join an education provider as a Health and Social Care Lecturer, bringing your sector knowledge into the classroom and sharing it with learners at every stage of their journey.
You'll deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment, supporting students to achieve their best regardless of the challenges they face. Acting as a positive role model, you'll contribute to the provider's offer in this key curriculum area.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering health and social care sessions to learners, including adult learners.
- Delivering outstanding quality teaching, learning and assessment.
- Assessing, reviewing and tracking learner progress.
- Maintaining accurate course and student records.
- Supporting students to achieve their best regardless of their challenges.
- Acting as a positive role model to students.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant qualification in health and social care, with sector experience
- The ability to engage and motivate learners of all ages and abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or experience of teaching, training or assessing
- Experience of working in a further education setting
