Health and Social Care Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the East of England
Start date: 23 September 2026
Are you an experienced health and social care professional ready to pass your knowledge on to the next generation of care workers?
About the role
You'll join a further education provider to deliver high-quality teaching across health and social care programmes, bringing your sector experience into the classroom and helping learners build the knowledge and practical understanding they need to progress into employment or further study.
You'll work as part of a supportive team, planning your lessons, assessing learner work to awarding body standards and keeping learners motivated and on track.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging health and social care lessons across a range of levels.
- Planning lessons and developing industry-relevant learning materials.
- Assessing learner work to awarding body standards.
- Providing developmental feedback and monitoring learner progress.
- Supporting individual learner needs and maintaining accurate records.
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in health and social care (or equivalent)
- Experience within the health or social care sector
- Good communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Previous experience of teaching, training or assessing
If you don't yet hold a teaching qualification, that needn't hold you back — the provider supports industry professionals moving into teaching.
