HE Social Work Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Are you an experienced social work professional looking to shape the next generation of practitioners?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider to teach on higher education social work provision, delivering sessions that connect academic theory with the realities of practice.
You'll plan and deliver engaging teaching, assess and give feedback on learners' work, and support students through their studies so they progress with confidence into the profession.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering teaching sessions on higher education social work programmes.
- Developing course materials and resources that support learning.
- Assessing student work and providing clear, constructive feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and setting targets for improvement.
- Supporting students pastorally and academically throughout their studies.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant degree in social work
- Professional experience in social work practice
- The ability to motivate and support learners to achieve
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching, training or assessing in a further or higher education setting
