HE Construction Lecturer
Temporary
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Do you have professional experience in the construction sector and a passion for passing your knowledge on to the next generation?
About the Role
An education provider is looking to appoint an HE Construction Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across its higher education construction provision, with a start date of September 2026.
You'll plan and deliver engaging lessons and practical sessions, create learning resources and assess learner progress, supporting students to develop the knowledge and professional skills they need to progress within the construction industry.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching across higher education construction programmes.
- Delivering engaging lessons and practical sessions.
- Creating learning resources and assessing learner progress.
- Providing timely, constructive feedback to learners.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
- Contributing to curriculum development and employer partnerships.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A degree at a level relevant to the subject area
- Extensive construction industry experience
- Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and maths
Desirable (but not essential):
- Recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Experience of teaching at higher education level
