HE Business Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Are you a business professional or academic looking to teach at higher education level?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider to deliver higher education business provision, helping learners build the academic and professional skills they need to progress into employment or further study.
You'll work with learners at varied stages of their studies, adapting your delivery so each one can make progress, and you'll assess their work in line with academic and awarding body requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging higher education business sessions.
- Preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessment materials.
- Assessing learners' work and providing clear, constructive feedback.
- Monitoring attendance, progress and achievement, and putting support in place where learners are at risk.
- Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in business or a related discipline
- Strong subject knowledge across business
- The ability to engage and motivate learners at higher education level
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification
- Previous experience of teaching in higher or further education
