Hairdressing Lecturer
Temporary | Contract

Are you a skilled hairdressing professional with a passion for passing on your craft to the next generation?
About the Role
We're working with an education provider in Staffordshire to recruit a Hairdressing Lecturer for a temporary contract, starting October 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced stylist or salon professional to step into a teaching environment and share your industry expertise with learners working towards their qualifications.
You'll bring your hairdressing skills into the classroom and salon setting, supporting students to develop the practical techniques and professional standards expected in the industry.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering practical and theory-based hairdressing sessions to learners.
- Demonstrating current hairdressing techniques and industry best practice.
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Preparing learners for assessments and supporting their development towards qualification.
- Maintaining a safe, professional and well-organised salon training environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Relevant hairdressing industry experience
- Recognised hairdressing qualification (e.g. NVQ/VRQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent)
- A genuine interest in supporting and developing learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience teaching or training in a further education setting
