Gardener
Temporary
Location: the Wales
About the Role
You'll join a public sector organisation as a Gardener, helping to keep grounds and outdoor spaces safe, tidy and welcoming for everyone who uses them.
Working as part of a small grounds team, you'll carry out seasonal maintenance across lawns, borders, hedges and planted areas, using hand tools and powered equipment safely and confidently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Mowing, strimming and maintaining lawns and grassed areas to a consistent standard.
- Pruning, weeding and planting across borders, beds and hedging.
- Clearing leaves, litter and debris from paths and outdoor spaces.
- Carrying out routine checks and basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Working safely in line with health and safety requirements, including the correct use of PPE.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Practical gardening or grounds maintenance experience
- Confident using hand tools and powered grounds equipment
- A good awareness of health and safety when working outdoors
- Reliable, self-motivated and comfortable working outside in all weathers
Desirable (but not essential):
- A horticulture or grounds maintenance qualification
- A full UK driving licence
- Experience working on a large site or within a public sector setting
