Games Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start date: September 2026
Are you a games professional ready to bring your industry experience into the classroom?
About the Role
A further education provider in the North West is looking for a Games Lecturer to deliver engaging theory and practical sessions to learners working towards their qualifications. You'll guide students through the technical and creative skills the industry expects, drawing on your own experience of the sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging sessions across Games programmes.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression and achievement.
- Marking work, giving feedback and carrying out progress reviews.
- Maintaining accurate records for registers, attendance and awarding body requirements.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong practical and technical knowledge of games development
- Confident classroom management and the ability to give learners clear structure and guidance
- Good communication and IT skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
