Foundation Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Start date: 7 October 2026
About the Role
An education provider is seeking a Foundation Lecturer to join their teaching team. You'll plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that help learners build the knowledge, confidence and independence they need to progress.
You'll create an inclusive learning environment, assess learner work and provide the feedback and guidance that keeps students moving forward.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, preparing and delivering high-quality lessons across Foundation programmes.
- Adapting teaching and learning materials to meet a wide range of abilities and individual needs.
- Assessing learner work and providing constructive feedback.
- Monitoring progress, attendance and achievement, and putting support in place where it is needed.
- Working alongside Learning Support Assistants and other colleagues in the classroom.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum and teaching resources.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience of teaching or supporting learners within a Foundation Learning environment
- A recognised teaching qualification, or the willingness to work towards one
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A patient, flexible and learner-focused approach
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience working with learners with additional learning needs
- Experience delivering Functional Skills
