Are you an experienced ESOL practitioner who enjoys helping learners find their voice in English?

About the Role

We're recruiting an ESOL Lecturer to join a further education provider in the South West. You'll deliver speaking, listening, reading and writing sessions to learners working towards ESOL qualifications, supporting them to build the language skills they need for study, work and everyday life.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities against assessment criteria.
  • Monitoring learner progress and putting support in place where it's needed.
  • Maintaining accurate records of attendance, achievement and progress.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive learning environment in which every learner is challenged and supported.

What We're Looking For

  • A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in English or a closely related discipline
  • Experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
  • An Enhanced DBS check, or a willingness to obtain one

Desirable (but not essential):

  • A recognised ESOL or teaching qualification
  • Experience of working in a further education setting
