This is a temporary assignment, offered on a contract basis through Dovetail & Slate, with a start date of 7 October 2026.

About the Role

You'll join a further education provider to deliver engineering teaching on a temporary contract basis, covering provision while the organisation manages its recruitment needs. This is an opportunity to bring your engineering expertise into the classroom and support learners working towards their qualifications.

You'll work as part of a wider teaching team, helping to maintain continuity of provision and ensuring learners continue to receive high-quality teaching throughout the assignment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering high-quality teaching and learning in engineering to learners.
• Planning and assessing coursework in line with curriculum requirements.
• Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and progress into industry or further study.
• Maintaining accurate records of learner progress and attainment.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Relevant engineering qualification or substantial industry experience
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging teaching sessions

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or equivalent
• Previous experience teaching in a further education setting
