Engineering Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the South East
Start date: 6 October 2026
Are you an experienced engineering professional ready to pass your skills on to the next generation?
About the Role
Our client, a further education provider, is looking for an Engineering Lecturer to join their team. You'll deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across engineering programmes, helping learners build the technical knowledge, practical skills and confidence they need to progress.
You'll plan and prepare your sessions, assess learner work and track progress, working alongside a supportive team to create a positive learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across engineering courses.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities that support learner progression and achievement.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
- Supporting learners in developing their technical skills and employability prospects.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline (or equivalent)
- Strong practical and technical knowledge of your engineering specialism
- Enthusiasm for supporting and motivating learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
